Year 6 Football v Fairways

Two teams of Year 6 footballers competed in friendly football matches against Fairways on Thursday. After finishing their SATs, they were full of energy and raring to go! Team One fought back from being 2-1 down in the second half to win 3-2 in a real end to end game. Team Two lost their match 5-1 but the biggest cheer came when Cayden Ovenden pulled a goal back for West Leigh - a goal straight from the training ground! Results aside, it was an absolute pleasure to see the children representing the school. They maintained a positive attitude throughout the matches, supported their teammates throughout and were a credit to the school. Well done, team!
