Year 6 Boys' Parish Cup Fixture v Grove Wood

The 2023/24 football season is officially up and running - and in very dramatic fashion! The Year 6 members of our football squad competed against Grove Wood in the Parish Cup and it was a thrilling match. After conceding early in the first half, West Leigh showed great resilience and responded quickly to equalise. The match eventually finished 1-1 and the teams still couldn't be separated in extra time! The match had to be settled on penalties. After some excellent penalty kicks and two brilliant saves from goalkeeper, Max Bishop, West Leigh were victorious and are through to the next round.
