Year 6 Boys Cricket
On Thursday 9th June, 10 year 6 boys attended the Southend schools boys cricket competition at Garon park. Our first game against Our Lady of Lourdes we won 69-25 and were getting used to playing the new Dynamo cricket rules. Our second game against Bournes Green was much harder and we lost 15-34. Our final game in the morning was against Greenways which we won 89-9 showing some excellent batting and fielding skills.
After lunch we regrouped and had to play Bournes Green again which we just lost by four runs, 34-30. Our next game against Earls Hall we won 62-52 with lots of sixes being scored and finally we needed to beat Chalkwell to get to the Essex Finals which we won 77-9.
A fantastic performance by all the boys today with great team play and encouragement.
Well done to all of them and we look forward to the 7th July in Billericay.
