Toy Swap

On Thursday, 27th the Eco Warriors held their annual Toy Swap.  This is the third time this popular event has occurred and this year was no exception.  The Warriors had, in the weeks before the swap, created posters and videos to promote the event and provide information about how it would be run.  As the school gates opened on Thursday, a flood of children poured into the hall excited to hand in their toys, games, books, art materials, dressing up, clothes, and other items for tokens to swap for ‘new’ toys that afternoon.  The Warriors worked tirelessly throughout the afternoon, taking responsibility for sorting, organising and helping their fellow students to find a pre-loved treat to take home and refresh their toy box.  The excitement was palpable and it was wonderful to see so many children interacting with each other, smiling, having fun and helping to save our planet.
