The Music Man Project

On Tuesday 11th October 2022, West Leigh Junior School was host to the inspirational Music Man Project, an international music education service for children and adults with learning disabilities. As a charity that began its journey in the local area, it has gone onto international acclaim and is transforming the lives of many young people and adults with learning difficulties around the world, and has even been introduced at the United Nations.

David Stanley, the founder, along with his talented music man project ambassadors, performed for and with the pupils of West Leigh in a diverse and highly engaging workshop. For the staff and pupils alike, it was a wonderful reminder that music can be incredibly powerful and transformative in lives and that difficulties in learning are not a barrier to being a musician.
