Quad Kids

On Wednesday 18th May, 16 children took part in the Quad Kids athletics competition held at Garon Park athletics track.

Year 3 and 4 were in the morning, it involved running a 50m sprint, a 400m long distance run, a standing long jump into the sand pit and a howler throw.

The year 5 and 6 children arrived in the afternoon as the weather was getting warmer! They had to run a 75m sprint and a 600m long distance run as well as the standing long jump and howler throw.

There were seventeen schools from Southend at the event, points were added together to give individual winners and overall team winners.

All the children performed brilliantly and showed excellent teamwork. Well done to all.
