Girls' Football Vs Richmond

The year 5/6 girls’ football team played their last league match against Prince Avenue on Monday 17th March. The team started strong, putting together fantastic passes into space to advance up the pitch to take shots at the goal. Prince Avenues defenders worked incredibly hard throughout the match making great clearances and the keeper made superb saves. At the half time whistle the score was 2-0 to West Leigh. In the second half, the team continued to play with great confidence, determination and brilliant team work, keeping the attacking pressure to end the match with an 8-0 win. The team have worked incredibly hard over the last three years to improve their football skills at training and in matches and can be incredibly proud of their achievements throughout the season.
