Equality and Diversity Pupil Summit

Today five pupils from our 'Equality and Diversity' pupil group attended a summit in Southend, along with representatives from many other Southend schools. As always, they represented the school fantastically with their exemplary behaviour and respect for others.

The children at the summit worked in mixed groups with children from other schools that they had never met before - many left the summit saying that they had made new friends. Throughout the day the children collaborated to define good leadership and consider both how to be upstanders and what they could do within their own schools to further promote equality and diversity. They also worked on a piece of music that they used their leadership skills to compose and perform.

it was a wonderful day and the children who attended will be sharing their findings with the rest of the equality group at our next meeting.
