Borough Cross Country

Congratulations to the West Leigh cross-country squad for their excellent performances in the Southend competition last week. The children have been training in some rather unpleasant conditions but the sun was shining for the children in their races! It was excellent to see the children fighting for every single position, cheering each other on and congratulating their fellow competitors. It has been an anxious wait for the results but they are in... The results have been counted and West Leigh have finished in 1st place for the third consecutive year! Incredible work from all runners. It was a very narrow victory so every overtake and fight for the finish helped West Leigh to win!

Each team's results are below. Those in 1st and 2nd have qualified for the Essex finals in March.
