Portico Dodgeball Festival

On Thursday 24th January, nine Year 6 children took part in the very first Portico Dodgeball Festival held at Friars Primary School. The festival brought together all four schools in the Portico academy: Hamstel Juniors, Friars, Porters Grange and West Leigh. Each school played 3 rounds against the opposition with individual rounds lasting two minutes. West Leigh’s first game was against Friars which they won 2-1 and their second game was against Porters which they lost 1-2. Their final game was against Hamstel where they drew round one and then lost the next two rounds. The result ended 1-3 to Hamstel. The team thoroughly enjoyed the festival, demonstrated superb sportsmanship throughout and it was brilliant to see so many children from the academy getting the opportunity to play dodgeball against each other.
