Quicksticks Hockey

On Wednesday 13th June, six year 6 children (4 boys and 2 girls) travelled to Chelmsford Hockey club to play in the county Quicksticks hockey finals.

We played in extreme heat, five consecutive games against

Perryfields 0-0

Elmwood 1-1

Mildmay won 3-1

Cathedral A won 2-0

Writtle A won 4-0

and Terling B 1–1

We were regrouped in the afternoon and because three schools had finished on 24 points it went down to goal difference which meant that we came 3rd in our pool. We then played Writtle B and after a very close game lost 3-2 and our final game was against St Michaels (Chelmsford) 1-1. It meant that we had played eight games and lost only once! Well done to all the children, demonstrating excellent team work and resilience throughout the (very hot) day!
