CEOP workshops
Over the last two weeks, children in Years 5 and 6 have taken part in CEOP workshops to advise them how to be safe online. A representative from CEOP has delivered a one hour session to each class in upper school with a focus on apps and social media and how these can be used safely. Children learned about the importance of covering or disabling their webcam, as well as ensuring that their privacy settings are activated when using various apps. It was emphasised that Facebook should only be used once children are 13. We were surprised that many children had public YouTube accounts and the children considered why this might be needed at their age.
