Table Tennis Tournament

On Wednesday 28th September, four boys and four girls from the table tennis squad represented the school in the South East Essex Schools competition. Both the boys' and the girls' teams performed brilliantly in the group stage of the competition, convincingly winning all but one of their group matches. This success took them through to the semi-final stage of the competition. Again, the pupils played some amazing table tennis, but were unfortunately pipped 1-3. The final match of the day for both boys and girls was the 3rd / 4th play off. After some close fought games West Leigh finished 4th in both competitions. Congratulations to all players for great play and sportsmanship throughout the competition and thank you to the group of parent supporters.
