Sports Day
On the hottest day of the year so far the community of West Leigh Junior School gathered at Belfairs Academy to participate and watch this year’s Sports Day. We started with the quirky races with great fun being had by all year groups. The Sprints came next and there was some fantastic cheering and support heard from all of the houses. We finished with the relays which were a great end to the competitions. All of this was interspersed with the traditional toddlers, mums and dads races. At the end of the competitions there was great suspense as the winners were called out with Grenville winning the day with an amazing 275 Points! Mr Lear helped the celebrations as he carried the Grenville captain on his shoulders with her cheering with the cup! Thank you to all of the school community for making Sports Day 2016 a great success!
