Quiz club semi finals
On Friday April 29th, the West Leigh Juniors quiz team took part in the semi-final of the Quiz Club National General Knowledge Championship at White Court School in Braintree against nine other schools from the South East of England. The team started off really well and were competing for the lead at the start of the competition. Some of the questions were incredibly difficult - certainly too hard for most of the adults present to answer! By the end of the competition, the team had made a very good account of themselves against some extremely high quality opponents. It was very nerve-wracking for all the parents and other relatives that had come to support and we thank them all for taking the team to be there for the team. Very well done to all four of the team members - Jonathan Burrows, Luka Lacey, Evie Grantham and Sidney Taylor - it was a great achievement to make the semi-final of such a prestigious competition.
