On Wednesday 2nd March the girl’s netball team journeyed to Garon Park in Southend to play in a tournament. They drew their first game having several attempts at goal, only to have them thwarted by strong winds. They were then defeated in their second match. Not allowing this to dishearten them, they gave each other plenty of encouragement and this boost helped lead them on to win their next two matches. The results were as follows: West Leigh 0 v 0 Our Lady of Lourdes
West Leigh 0 v 1 Thorpe Hall West Leigh 7 v 0 Fairways West Leigh 2 v 0 Richmond Sadly, bad weather meant that the rest of the tournament had to be cancelled. This will now be continued on Wednesday 5th June. Fortunately, as our girls had already achieved good results in these matches, they have already earned a place into the next round.
