Half term sports round up
This half term we took part in our first ever handball competition and our team played extremely well. They had a very exciting and enjoyable afternoon competing against other local schools and worked well supporting each other. Our girls’ netball team have been practising their skills with friendly matches against St Michael’s, winning all our games. In football news, our girls played a friendly against Temple Sutton. The girls played a good solid game from start to finish and fought until the end but sadly we lost the game 4-1. The boys had better success and played to a high standard in their league game. When Temple Sutton were awarded a penalty our goalie put in a great save. The final score was 5-4 to us. We have now won two of the three games played and we have another two league games left to play after the half term. On the last day of term our girls’ hockey team took part in a tournament at Warners Bridge. They played well against Thorpe Hall, Friars, Earls Hall and Fairways. Although we didn’t win, the girls throughly enjoyed taking part and worked well as a team. Next term will bring plenty sporting events and hopefully better weather conditions.
