Extra-curricular groups 

We have an impressive tradition of singing in our school. Everyone sings together each week in our whole school assemblies. Our choirs present fantastic performances at concerts and festivals. Our recorder groups have represented the school many times. We have regularly performed at Southend and Leigh Music Festivals as well as the ‘Southend Makes Music’ at the Palace Theatre. 

We are proud of our musicians and enjoy seeing their talents and confidence develop as they progress through the school.

Instrumental lessons 

We have a fantastic team of visiting instrumental tutors, who teach our pupils on an individual basis. We currently offer: flute, clarinet, saxophone, cornet, trumpet, drum kit, violin, cello, piano, keyboard, and guitar. Most lessons take place after school.

Our tutors are employed either by the school direct or the local Music Hub. All our staff are DBS approved.
